Annecy Christmas Market 2026
From November 26, 2026, to January 3, 2027, the "Christmas in the Alps" (Noël des Alpes) event transforms Annecy into a picture-postcard setting.
The city becomes an open-air Christmas village, complete with wooden chalets, festive illuminations, and Savoyard specialties.
Enjoy a magical getaway in the heart of the largest Christmas market in Haute-Savoie.
Every year at Christmas, the city of Annecy hosts nearly 200 wooden chalets, stretching from the lakeshore to the Jardins de l’Europe (Gardens of Europe).
It is the perfect opportunity to find gifts to place under the tree. Artisans, designers, and producers will be on hand to showcase their latest creations—including handmade candles, wool garments, and wooden toys.
As for local delicacies, be sure to try the fondue, spit-roasted pork, or *tartiflette*, and warm up with a cup of mulled wine.
Every day, from 5:00 PM to 11:45 PM, Annecy’s Old Town lights up. Musical light projections will illuminate the Conservatoire, the Porte Sainte-Claire, and the Notre-Dame-de-Liesse church.
The festive spirit is centered in the Jardins de l’Europe, which hosts around fifteen chalets dedicated to gourmet treats. In the evening, you can even enjoy events featuring DJs.
Afterward, head over to the 460-square-meter natural ice rink, which offers a stunning view of the lake. As for your children, they will have the chance to meet Santa Claus in front of his illuminated house and hand him their letters.
Throughout this festive season, you can also enjoy tea dances, Christmas balls, street entertainment, creative workshops, and charity concerts.
